Beijing is the place with the most concentrated traditional architecture, especially royal architecture. The decorations on the eaves of these traditional buildings, such as palaces, temples, towers, terraces, pavilions and gazebos, are extremely exquisite. On the flying eaves, there is a dragon head made of glazed tiles, which is either yellow or green, together with an unequal number of baby dragons. Some of these baby dragons look very similar to animals such as turtles, tigers, lions, wolves, jackals, snails, lizards, geckos and鳌fishes etc. Traditionally, they are auspicious animals. It is believed that placing them in suitable positions can ward off evil spirits.
