How many wives did Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of the Chinese revolution, have in his life? In his public biography, he only acknowledged two: one was Mrs. Lu, namely Lu Muzhen, and the other was Mrs. Song, namely Song Qingling. In fact, Sun Yat-sen had another wife named Chen Cuifen, who is detailed in the genealogy of Sun Yat-sen's family. In the "Cuiheng Sun Family Genealogy," there are these words regarding Sun Yat-sen: first wife Lu Muzhen, lived to be 86 years old; secondary wife Chen Cuifen, lived to be 89 years old; wife Song Qingling, lived to be 89 years old. The younger generations of the Sun family regard all three wives of Sun Yat-sen as their grandmothers.
