I accidentally saw an article on Sina's blog. It was about why fewer and fewer rural children go to college nowadays. The blogger analyzed the various costs of cram schools for urban children after they enter junior high school. Undoubtedly, the figures were astonishing. However, if we jump to conclusions based on these facts alone - that rural children perform worse than urban children because they cannot afford expensive tuition fees - it would be too one-sided. I guess the blogger might not be a child from the countryside. Later, I read several more articles on related topics. Many people said that the high cost of going to university made many rural parents give up on their children's university dreams in the face of money. At first glance, this reason seems sufficient enough. But I think that the root cause of why fewer rural children go to college is the plight of college graduates being "unemployed upon graduation" despite the high tuition fees.
