I've long thought about retreating into the Buddhist monastic life and embracing the concept of "four great emptiness". I'm serious, for a while, this idea was constantly on my mind. I was more inclined to choose Shaolin Temple as my final destination since it's considered the 'fighter jet' among temples. Oh yeah~ But recently, it has been caught up in the Dabeisi controversy, an anti-corruption storm, and comprehensive rectification, which is quite messy and underhanded, so I temporarily abandoned this idea. For someone who is about to become a monk, choosing a temple is like choosing a job; it can't be taken lightly. In China, there are many well-known temples. Someone once ranked the top 10 famous temples: White Horse Temple, Jokhang Temple, Famen Temple, Guandi Temple, Jin Ci, Confucius Temple, Labrang Monastery, Shaolin Temple, Hanging Temple, and Ta'er Temple.
