Rule No.1 Don't memorize from a vocabulary book.

Just memorizing words isn't very effective as they're easily forgotten. Sometimes, you know the word, but when you hear it, you don't recognize it. Many people take a vocabulary book and repeatedly go over it again and again, but most end up forgetting the front part when they get to the back. Regular vocabulary books are simply English words with Chinese meanings, which is very boring and makes you sleepy. Moreover, English only has 26 letters, so after memorizing some words, you can get confused. So what do you do if you don't memorize from a vocabulary book? Based on my experience of memorizing words, you can learn them while reading.
