The Northern School is represented by Beijing and covers the northern provinces and municipalities such as Liaoning, Tianjin, Hebei, parts of Henan, Xinjiang, etc. The Southern School includes the regions along and south of the Yangtze River, and it further branches into several sub-schools, including the "Shanghai craft" represented by Shanghai, the "Suzhou craft" represented by Suzhou, the "Yangzhou craft" represented by Yangzhou. In addition, there are also the "Guangdong craft" and the "Fujian craft".
