The four famous jade in China refers to "Hetian jade" in Xinjiang, "Lantian jade" in Lantian of Shaanxi, "Dushan Jade" in Nanyang of Henan and "Xiuyan jade" in Xiuyan of Liaoning.
1. Hetian Jade
Mainly distributed in the northern slope of the Kunlun Mountains stretching for 1500 kilometers in Shache--Tashkurgan, Hotan--Yutian, and Qiemo County in Xinjiang, there are a total of 9 places of origin. The mineral composition of Hetian jade is mainly tremolite-actinolite, and contains trace amounts of diopside, serpentine, graphite, magnetite and other minerals, forming different colors such as white, bluish green, black, yellow, etc. Most of them are single-color jade, and a few are colored.
