Hetian jade is distributed in the Kunlun Mountain, which is located in the south of the Tarim Basin. It starts from the East of Tashkurgan County in Kashgar area (at the Andale Tower and Alaz Mountain), goes through the Sangzhu Tag, Teklik Tag and Liush Tag in the South of Hetian area, and ends at the North wing of the Altun Mountain in Qiemo County (at the Sulamuning Tag). The continuous length of Hetian jade ore belt is more than 1100 kilometers. There are primary deposits and ore spots of Hetian jade in the high mountains. In addition, there are quite a lot of rivers producing offspring jade of Hetian. The mineral distribution of Hetian jade is located in the south of the Tarim板块板块. The Tarim板块 is a continental block centered on the Tarim Basin.
