On the last day of 08, I set out alone from Ningbo with that travel bag which had accompanied me to many places, and went to Ruili of Yunnan Province - a small city located on the Sino-Burmese border and well known for its prostitution, gambling, drugs, as well as jade. However, what I'm going to write here is not a travelogue, but a little story happened in Ruili which I happened to experience.
That morning, it was still dark outside (to be exact, it was 7 o'clock; the daybreak in Ruili was relatively late), and the hostel where I stayed was in an uproar because of a woman's wailing and yelling downstairs. As I was extremely sleepy after watching the whole CCTV Spring Festival Gala the other night due to sheer boredom, my temper flared up instantly when I was disturbed by her crying. Wearing slippers, I stormed downstairs along with the cries to see what had happened.
