I started buying jade in 2001. I didn't know anything about it back then, but surprisingly, I bought the real thing at first, even though both the quality and price were average. Later on, my interest grew, and I began to learn more about jade through the internet and other sources. I looked at a lot of pictures and tried to find bargains at the early market, but of course, I ended up buying some fake B-grade jade.
Back then, spending dozens of yuan was nothing, and hundreds of yuan would make me hesitate slightly, but I still thought it was cheap. I always felt like I was getting ripped off. Without any top-notch jade, I accumulated a pile of subpar pieces, all overpriced. Later, as I learned more about jade, I realized that high-quality jade was out of reach, so I switched to collecting crystals, thinking that I could at least achieve the ultimate level with crystals. Thus, various types of crystals started coming in. How could there be so many kinds? I had red, yellow, blue, and green ones.
