China definitely has the mafia. Famous scholar and mafia studies expert Mr. Cai said that although the number cannot be clearly quantified like mathematical statistics, intuitively speaking, it is quite "black". Currently, China's mafia crime is rather rampant. Mafia-like organizations with different names have appeared both in cities and rural areas. In cities, Beijing, Shenyang, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Tianjin and other places have more rampant mafia forces. In rural areas, many regions have seen the emergence of mafia organizations with feudal gang characteristics. For example, Anyue County in Sichuan Province has 50 such organizations, Yiyang region in Hunan Province has 250 organizations with 3120 people, and Shangqiu region in Henan Province has 120 organizations with 200 people. Although there have been several severe crackdowns, they continue to appear and are on the rise. There are at least around one million members in China's mafia organizations.
