"I am Liu Yuejin" is the latest work created by Liu Zhenyun. In terms of content, it is different from "A Heap of Chicken Feathers" and "Looking Back at 1942", and also different from "Cell Phone." This time, it plays a joke on life.
Liu Yuejin is a cook at a construction site who lost a bag; while looking for his bag, he picks up another one. The secrets inside this bag involve several deaths in the upper class, prompting many people to start searching for Liu Yuejin... It's like a sheep that unintentionally wanders into a pack of wolves; due to its arrival, several wolves commit suicide. Liu Zhenyun narrates this joke with an unusually calm tone. He might make you cry, but then as you reflect on it, you "chuckle" and laugh again. Recalling it later, you laugh once more. This unique "Liu-style humor" reaches its peak in "I am Liu Yuejin."
The film adaptation of this work, with the same title, was released nationwide on November 29th.
