Qingyang was admitted to the hospital the day before her due date. When she arrived, Tang Qingqing had already been in labor for five or six hours, enduring excruciating pain akin to the ten cruel tortures of the Qing dynasty. Seeing Qingqing's terrifying state, Tang Lan did not allow Qingyang to visit her; he was afraid that his wife would become frightened and chicken out at the last minute.
