In the midst of the torrent, suddenly, there appears a large pool serving as a resting place for the upstream rapids and eddies, thus creating a brief section of slow-flowing water.
On the bank of the gentle flow rests a small boat, capable of carrying only five or six people, forming the sole passage between the two sides of the canyon.
