In the workplace, setbacks are due to uncontrollable environmental factors in only about 10% of cases. The remaining 90% stem from our own inadequacies. These inadequacies can be summarized into two aspects: one is not understanding the rules of the workplace and trying to achieve success with incorrect concepts and methods; the other is a lack of mature personality and the ability to deal with people and situations in a sophisticated manner. Those who do not understand the rules but still work hard are no different from Don Quixote charging at windmills - their courage is commendable, their situation pitiable, but the outcome will certainly not be good. A general who understands and can utilize the laws of war will inevitably defeat warriors who do not understand these laws and rely solely on brute courage. Similarly, those who understand and can utilize the rules of the workplace will inevitably surpass those who do not understand these rules and merely work hard without direction.
