I saw a white face outside the glass window, split by raindrops - a shapeless, non-human face, like a poorly made doll fashioned from nylon stockings. The kitchen is my favorite room. It has high ceilings, not many utensils, but they are stylish. I like to cook myself, such as making and rolling dough, so there is a piece of pine wood in the center of the kitchen, perfectly suited for someone who is five feet three inches tall like me. The breakfast table faces a large window, offering a view of the trees in the backyard and the bird feeder.
