The Tibetan Mastiff is a breed of dog evolved from the Himalayan Giant Fossils more than ten million years ago. It is the only ancient living fossil in the canine world that has not been changed by time and environment. It used to be a ferocious beast roaming around the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Until more than six thousand years ago, it was tamed and began a life depending on each other with human beings.

In Yang Zhijun's writings, under the conquest and confidence, majesty and killing intent, fierce unconstrainedness and loyalty to rules, mastiffs such as the Tiger Head Snow Mastiff, Gangri Senge, the black Lion Head Female Mastiff Nari and its compatriot sister Guori, ex-Dangxiang Luocha and later Duojilai complete their missions with mighty fangs and teeth and reckless grappling.
