On November 7, the 2008 "Maotai Cup" People's Literature Award was presented in Beijing. Jiangsu writer Bi Feiyu's "Massage" won the Excellent Full-Length Novel Award; Gansu writer Ye Zhou's novella "Sheep Into the City," Liaoning writer Ma Qiufen's novella "Zhu Daqin, Please Contact This Station" and Henan writer Ji Wenjun's novella "Milky Way" jointly received the Excellent Novella Award; Yao Emei's "Secret Passage" won the Excellent Short Story Award; Zhang Yueran's "Mid-Autumn Night and Other Stories" and Senren's "Turning Back" jointly received the Excellent Essay Award; Excellent Poetry Awards were shared by A Men's "Middle-aged Heart Tracks" and Shang Zejun's "Olympic China;" a Special Award was given to Zhao Jianping's reportage literature "Panama Temptation."
