The recently concluded 08 postgraduate examination saw some candidates thinking that this year's English paper was not difficult. But I believe many would agree that a lot of the vocabulary was familiar on sight, yet truly grasping the reading comprehension wasn't really easy. Many students easily forget the words they have memorized before, which makes them feel like they have a bad memory and in turn affects their enthusiasm for learning. In fact, there is no need for such worry. Vocabulary memorization does not require any special tricks; what it needs is scientific learning methods as well as sufficient patience and time.
