"The Grand Series of Chinese Literature in the 60 Years of New China" edited by Wang Meng and selected and compiled by the creation research department of the writers association of China consists of several volumes including "Selected Novellas", "Selected Short Stories", "Selected Mini Fiction", "Selected Poems", "Selected Essays", "Selected Prose Poems", "Selected Reportage", "Selected Children's Literature", and "Selected Literary Critiques". It includes representative works of first-class writers and classic pieces of all genres in the literary field since the founding of new China, and systematically reviews and summarizes the achievements in literary creation since the founding of new China. The 60 years since the founding of new China are the 60 years that contemporary Chinese literature has developed initially, become silent briefly, and then developed and flourished greatly; excellent works of various genres have emerged during these 60 years.
