The summer at Seven Bends is hazy and indistinct. Tongzi always sits in front of the house, gazing at the distant Tianshan Mountains. There has been little rain this year, and only on clear days after the rain can Tongzi see the distant majestic Tianshan Mountains and the snow-covered Bogda Peak from Seven Bends.
Tongzi's hand lingers for a long time over her forehead, her eyes slightly stinging. Lian rests eternally on one of those distant peaks. And even now, Tongzi still cannot tell whether she is feeling bitterness or pain.
