Mr. Ji Xianlin began writing tirelessly from the 1920s and produced tens of millions of words in his lifetime. In 1996, Jiangxi Education Press published "The Complete Works of Ji Xianlin," which included various writings from 1929 to 1996, totaling 24 volumes. In 2007, Mr. Ji Xianlin officially authorized Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press to publish "The Complete Collection of Ji Xianlin." Under Mr. Ji's personal guidance, our press established the Expert Committee and Editorial Committee for "The Complete Collection of Ji Xianlin" in June 2008 and formally initiated relevant editorial work. The collection mainly supplements essays, miscellaneous writings, prefaces, speeches, diaries, book reviews, etc., written by Mr. Ji from the publication of "The Complete Works" to 2008. These include collections personally compiled by Mr. Ji, such as "Random Memories from the Cattle Shed" and "Floating Rafters on the Sea of Learning," as well as various individual articles summarized for the first time. There are both new works after 1996 and older writings from the 1920s and 1930s; some were publicly published or released, while a few remained unpublished. This edition adds hundreds of articles, approximately two million words.
