A classic scientific popularization illustration by Moses Harris: Butterfly Atlas

Moses Harris (1731–1785) was a British entomologist and engraver. His printed edition of 'The Aurelian' published in 1840 is a classic. Both the butterflies and the accompanying flowers in the pictures are very beautiful. Each painting tells the life of a butterfly.
