From August 15 to October 14, the Shanghai Liuli Gongfang Liuli Art Museum, together with the Glass Studio of the Fine Arts Institute of Shanghai University and the Glass Studio of the China Academy of Fine Arts, will jointly present the "2007 Contemporary Liuli Art Academic Exhibition." This exhibition showcases modern academic liuli art creations and is an interpretation of liuli art using contemporary language, featuring a highly original exhibition.

Academic liuli art originated from the glass studio movement (The Glass Studio Movement) of the 1970s. This movement has had a pivotal influence on the history of modern liuli art development. The Liuli Gongfang Liuli Art Museum serves as a platform for cultural exchange between East and West, and its collection includes works by important artists in the history of Western glass studio movements, such as Steven Weinberg and Dante Marioni. This collaboration with the Glass Studio of the Fine Arts Institute of Shanghai University and the Glass Studio of the China Academy of Fine Arts not only provides a stage for showcasing the energy of liuli as a contemporary art expression through the voices of the new generation but also offers a rare opportunity to review the essence of the glass studio movement from both China and the West, which should not be missed.
