April 10th marks the launch of the National Bird-loving Week _ Wenzhou Vocational Training Network

Square activities: at 9 o'clock on April 10th, the launching ceremony of the 2009 national "Bird-loving Week" will be held at the Century Square in Wenzhou District. The theme of this year's "Bird-loving Week" is "Pay attention to birds and protect nature".

Cranes, which are grade-one state-protected animals from Heilongjiang Province, will be released on the scene. There will also be a ten-thousand-people signature drive, a prize-winning knowledge quiz about wildlife protection, exhibition boards for publicity of scientific knowledge about birds, exhibitions of children's paintings, distribution of publicity materials for wildlife protection, etc.

Free exhibition at Wenzhou Science and Technology Museum: From April 10th to 14th, there will be photography exhibitions of wild animals, calligraphy and painting, bird stamps, animal specimens, achievements in the construction of Wuyanling National Nature Reserve and Wenzhou Forest Park at Wenzhou Science and Technology Museum. Citizens of Wenzhou can watch them for free.

During the period from April 11th to 14th, the permanent exhibits in the science and technology museum will not be open to the public.

Free entry for teenagers and children at Wenzhou Zoo: From April 10th to 12th, teenagers and children below 1.4 meters in height will be admitted to Wenzhou Zoo for free. There are altogether 375 species of birds in Wenzhou. The zoo has more than 70 species of birds, including rare ones such as yellow-bellied tragopans.

The national "Bird-loving Week" activity started in 1982, and it was first held in Zhejiang Province.
