1. Don't look at pots that are especially bright and vivid in color!

2. Don't look at pots that feel weightless when held in your hand! A real purple clay pot has weight.

3. Don't look at green or oddly colored pots.

4. Be cautious of pots with a good water sheen on the surface! If a pot that hasn't been seasoned yet looks like it has a good water sheen, try to avoid this kind of pot!

5. The original ore particles on the pot should be clear. Some pots with chemical additives have their particles wrapped by these additives, making the particles unclear.

6. Original ore pots contain impurities, and quite a lot of them. These impurities aren't just iron. They usually appear as black particles distributed unevenly on the pot's surface. Therefore, many truly original ore pots look unappealing when they come out of the kiln. Pots that look overly clean and uniform need to be approached with caution.

7. Purple clay pots should have a granular texture, and the grains of original ore pots are relatively clear and clean. The distribution of original ore grains is uneven and more natural, different from sand-adjusted pots. Sand-adjusted grains generally "float" on the surface of the pot, or these sands permeate both inside and outside, but their characteristic is that the distribution is relatively even, giving off a sense of artificial manipulation. The grains of original ore in the clay are more "harmonious," while sand-adjusted grains seem more "stiff."

8. Tap the pot and listen to the sound. The sound of a purple clay pot should be a relatively "muffled" earthenware sound. If you hear a "ting ting" porcelain sound when tapping, don't touch such a pot. Listening to the sound is to identify the firing temperature of the pot. The "ting ting" sound is the sound of the pot becoming vitrified, which is usually indicative of a glazed pot or a fake pot (chemical additive).

9. Breathability cannot be used as a sufficient condition for inspecting an original ore purple clay pot, as some pots with chemical additives also have breathability.
