According to scientific analysis, the purple clay pot does indeed have the function of retaining the original flavor of the tea soup. It can absorb the tea juice and has the characteristics of being heat-resistant and cold-resistant. In general, there are five major features of purple clay ceramics:

First, purple clay ceramics are made from sand hammering, which neither robs the tea of its fragrance nor gives off a boiled taste, so it is used for brewing tea with all the color, aroma and taste preserved.

Second, the sandy teapot can absorb tea juice and accumulate "tea rust" after a period of use, so boiling water can also produce a tea fragrance in an empty pot.

Third, it is easy to wash. If not used for a long time, it may develop an odd smell, but soaking it in boiling water two or three times and then pouring out the cold water will keep the original taste when brewing tea.

Fourth, it has strong adaptability to sudden changes in temperature. Even in severe winter, boiling water will not cause it to crack due to sudden temperature changes. Moreover, the sand material conducts heat slowly, so it won't burn your hands whether you lift, hold or grab it.

Fifth, purple clay ceramics are heat-resistant. In winter, when placed on a warm fire to brew tea, the pot is not easy to burst. Su Dongpo's poem about cooking tea with a purple clay handle pot, "Pine wind bamboo stove, call the pot together", was certainly not accidental.

This is the reason why people who care about tea drinking at home and abroad particularly love to use purple clay pots.
