Training, originally designed as a preparatory exercise for college students before they enter society, is a test of applying textbook knowledge to practical work. However, investigations reveal that college students' training is falling into various awkward situations.
1. Training has become just for the sake of getting an official stamp; it's "skimming over the surface," and ends in haste.
2. Unpaid professional training versus paid part-time work.
3. Regardless of whether they like it or not, blindly following trends.
4. Complaining about low value-added training, where internship positions fall far short of expectations.
Here, I would like to remind college students that no matter what kind of training environment they are in, they should seize the opportunity to improve themselves.
I summarize the purposes of training as follows:
First, training is meant for every student to examine their comprehensive abilities.
Second, the focus of training is to accumulate knowledge.
Third, training helps each student determine their future direction.
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." I believe that training plays the role of a bridge and transition for our future entry into society. Training is an important experience in life and a crucial step; it provides significant help for future employment. Zhang Li, a senior career counselor from Inner Mongolia University’s Career Guidance Center, said that training is an essential part of university education. Students must enhance their capabilities through practice. Additionally, many students complain that at training units, all they do is make tea and pour water, failing to learn the desired knowledge. In fact, this is a normal phenomenon. Students need to adjust their mindset and not be too hasty. Because training is not only about skill learning but also about cultivating communication skills and integrating into society. College students should focus on learning workplace rules, such as how to interact and communicate. If students have a good understanding of workplace culture, they will shorten the adaptation period with future employers and quickly enhance their abilities. In short, no matter what kind of training environment students are in, they should actively seize opportunities and strive to improve their overall abilities. Many facts show that having relevant training experiences plays a very important role in the success rate of job hunting.
