On January 17, 2006, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) released the "17th Statistical Report on the Development of China's Internet" in Beijing. The report shows that, as of December 31, 2005, the total number of Internet users in China has exceeded 100 million, reaching 111 million people, of which 64.3 million users are connected via broadband.
