The recently concluded 2008 TechCrunch50 Conference selected the 52 best start-up projects, with Yammer taking first place and receiving a bonus of 50,000 US dollars. Yammer is a Twitter-like microblogging system in business model. Unlike Twitter, Yammer is specifically designed for internal information communication and collaborative office work within enterprises, offering multiple update methods including desktop clients, iPhone, Blackberry, IM, SMS, and Email.
