GoogleTalk (GTalk) has won the affection of many GFans and IT professionals with its simplicity, open-source nature, lack of ads, and record-keeping through Gmail. Unfortunately, GTalk does not have the ability to create groups, which is a drawback. However, our clever users can use third-party services to create GTalk groups.
First, register an account at Taok Jiji (http://mygtalk.cn/). Registration is simple, then activate it via Gmail.
You can then improve your profile and content. You can also consolidate your blog feeds onto your page, which is a pretty neat feature, haha. But it seems that not many people see such an interface; everyone is here for the group chat function.
On the page, you'll clearly see a button to create a group. Clicking it and following the prompts will allow you to create your own GTalk group, like the account [email protected]. Logging in with GTalk and adding this account will let you communicate with other group members.
How about that? Pretty simple, right? Why not create your own GTalk group and add your friends and acquaintances?
PS: There are reports that Google is about to launch a new version of GTalk, which will include major updates such as隐身模式 (stealth mode), group chat functions, AIM login, video conferencing, and phone conferencing. But for now, these features are still unavailable. The future of Taok Jiji is uncertain, but at least for now, it provides a great GTalk group function.
Everyone is welcome to join my group for some fun chats: [email protected]
