Since Google introduced Chrome with the V8 JavaScript engine, the public's appetite for JavaScript engine execution efficiency has once again increased, and many browser developers have struggled to improve their JavaScript performance. Opera's latest Carakan engine, version 10.50, is said to have surpassed V8, and Firefox developers are not to be outdone.
