Today I saw two of my must-read bloggers, Mr.6, Keso, both talking about Pownce, the Twitter "killer" created by Digg.com founder Kevin Rose. Keso is obviously a consistent skeptic :), and Mr.6 has reorganized and figured out 3 reasons why every company should hire a hacker.

Just when everyone is in full swing to COPY Twitter (Jaiku, Tumblr, Frazr, "fan Fu", "Ji Wei de", "Lai Gu la"... Even Kevin can't get away with it), let me be a historical sinner and say a few honest words: What is the use of Twitter? ! Anyway, I'm no longer a web 2.0 man and I'm not afraid to offend anyone.

What is Twitter?

Later, more people around Twitter, I also occasionally check, but has not changed my opinion, twitter is a useless toy.

Twitter for Toys?

Toys must be beautiful, healthy, novel, fun, not everyone can do it.

With all due respect to Twitter, it's a waste of time and energy. Certainly not for those who are unhappy with Twitter's Ruby on rails architecture and spend a weekend writing clones to amuse themselves. It's boring to see Twitter going viral and jump in.

Earlier this year, someone in Idea Factory China asked, "Why no Chinese people copy twitter?" Now the Chinese version is a hundred flowers blooming, ten thousand horses mute.

The future of Twitter

Predict that Twitter may not be popular in the future, and most of the imitations will disappear and die out. Toy popularity is regular and cyclical, of course, does not rule out such as Babie girl's enduring popularity.
