Mozilla is committed to helping Wikipedia implement video support

At the Linux.conf.au annual conference in Hobart, Wikimedia developer Michael Dale announced a $100,000 commitment from the Mozilla Foundation to help develop server-side Ogg Theora video coding technology. The grant will help enhance Ogg Theora's coding technology over a six-month period, including web search improvements and client-side and server-side libraries for Firefox and MediaWiki.
