Could 7 be Microsoft's next lucky number?

Last week, Microsoft previewed the next major version upgrade of its desktop operating system, Windows 7, at PDC. Microsoft has promised to release a Beta version of Windows 7 in early 2009, with the official release by the end of 2009. Although Microsoft has not abandoned the current much-maligned Windows Vista, but Microsoft hopes to break the current impasse as soon as possible is urgent.
