Scientists from the Indian New Delhi Space Research Organization have discovered a huge underground cave on the moon which they believe can be used as an astronaut base for earthlings.

Analysis by the Lunar Probe No. 1 shows that there is a cave 1.7 km long and 120 meters wide near the lunar equator, in the position of the Storm Basin, and it is very suitable as a base for future lunar explorers. Such a huge underground cave can shield dangerous space radiation, block small meteorites and dust storms. Moreover, compared with the extreme temperature difference environment on the surface of the moon ranging from 130 degrees Celsius to minus 180 degrees Celsius, the constant temperature environment at minus 20 degrees Celsius inside the cave is undoubtedly like a luxury air-conditioned room.
