During a flight lasting 102 minutes, a tiny "spaceship" assembled by the Geisbuhlers managed to reach an altitude of 100,000 feet (about 30,000 meters).
Geisbuhler, 40, and his 7-year-old son Max fitted the device with an iPhone and a high-definition video camera. After months of research and testing, the Geisbuhls launched their weather balloon in August from near Newburgh, New York.
