April 8th morning news, Taobao's latest B2C business group has gradually unveiled its mysterious veil. This morning, a screenshot of the new B2C platform page of Taobao was leaked. From this page, well-known brands such as Mengniu, Li-Ning, Apple, Motorola, Philips, and Nokia are clearly visible.
Previously, there had been a leak of an internal testing poster posted internally at Taobao. On that poster, one could see the following major brands that had joined: Adidas, Haier, Philips, Nike, Li-Ning, and other heavyweight brands.
It is understood that David Wei, President of Taobao, attaches great importance to the B2C business group. At the end of 2007, Taobao established a dedicated B2C department to separately handle the operations of the B2C business.
In order to create a brand-new B2C business platform, at the beginning of 2008, Taobao held grand recruitment events in five places including Beijing. However, in order to complete platform testing, Taobao did not release any merchant information externally.
