Hulu.com will offer over 250 complete episodes of TV series, including "The Simpsons" and "The Office," nearly 100 movies such as "The Big Lebowski" and "Ice Age," and video clips from some shows like "Napoleon Dynamite." Last October, Hulu.com opened to a limited number of users by invitation only, entering the testing phase. News Corporation and NBCUniversal, among other traditional entertainment giants, hope to create Hulu.com in order to launch a strong challenge against Google-owned YouTube and capture a larger share of the online video market. Hulu.com will insert advertisements into some movies and TV programs; compared with traditional TV ads, these video ads will be more targeted. So far, companies that have signed advertising agreements with Hulu.com include Nissan, Best Buy, and Unilever, among others.
