January 22, a number of passengers didn't wear pants on the New York subway. It was reported that more than 100 passengers participated in the once-a-year No-Pants Subway Ride event. This year is the fifth time for this event to be held.

The organizer said that the aim of the event was to bring smiles to other passengers.

An organization named Improv Everywhere initiated the event. Founded in 2001, Charlie Todd, the founder, said that the organization had no intention to break the law. His goal was to create happiness and fun in public places in New York.
