The Writely official blog has just announced that Writely is now open to all Internet users. There's no need for invitations or to write to Writely; you can simply register.
The Writely website was acquired by Google in March this year. The developer of Writely was a startup company called Upstartle, which was actually just a three-person development team. Writely is equivalent to a web-based "Word." Users can not only complete word processing tasks online but can also collaborate with specific colleagues or friends to edit documents together. This model is very suitable for document projects involving multiple participants.
Recently, Google has opened up many services. For more details, please refer to an earlier article.
