There are many stories about life on earth, but the most incredible one is about how we got our legs. Scientists believe that a very long time ago, a fish climbed onto land, grew legs, and started walking. This was one of the most significant events in the history of life because this fish was the ancestor of us humans. But how did this fish grow legs, and why? For over a century, even the best scientists couldn't answer these questions. They had a guide though - Charles Darwin, the founder of the theory of evolution. Darwin said the answers lay within piles of rocks. Somewhere out there, there must be some fossils that can explain everything. So paleontologists traveled all over the world to find them. Unfortunately, fossils this old are extremely rare.
