【MyDrivers News】PCWorld has recently ranked the top 15 disappointing IT technologies of 2007, and unfortunately Windows Vista, surrounded by controversy and tumultuous events, topped the list. Its siblings Office 2007 and Zune also made it to the list. Surprisingly, Apple's iPhone and Leopard Mac OS X were also included.
PCWorld stated that Vista was chosen as number one not because it was terrible, but because it wasn't good enough. Many new technologies and features promised by Microsoft were cut due to rushed production schedules, and the long-awaited Vista had higher hardware requirements yet ran slower than XP. As for Leopard, it had numerous bugs after release and some security vulnerabilities appeared; regarding the iPhone, apart from a few minor flaws and regrets, it was actually very impressive. However, the bundled service with AT&T was unacceptable, and Apple continuously upgraded firmware to combat third-party unlocking.
Of course, this ranking is just the opinion of PCWorld's editors, representing some views of North American consumers, and lacks universality. It is only for reference. Interested readers can read the full article here, to understand why these technologies have caused such disappointment.
