The BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS 6.0 has just been leaked, becoming the most "heated" topic among BlackBerry enthusiasts. The author who once brought us a popular theme has timely submitted her latest work - the OS 6.0 replica theme called "Prequel". I think the reason why the theme is called Prequel is to warm up for the upcoming storm of OS 6.0 and make up for those models that cannot use the BlackBerry 6 operating system. The imitation degree is quite high, simple and low-key. It currently supports several models under the OS 5.0 system: 85xx/89xx/9000/91xx/95xx/96xx/9700. At the same time, the theme author provided a built-in wallpaper so that everyone can use it to set up desktop weather display in BerryWeather.

Finally, all the staff of Youcang send birthday wishes to Marsie, happy birthday. Without further ado, let's first look at the introduction from the theme author:

Finally made it to release day! Prequel truly came at the cost of sacrificing sleep time! After National Day, I got a new job that kept me super busy, but luckily I like it. Fighting through the day at work, and fighting through the night on themes, I couldn't bring myself to sleep before 3 AM.

Prequel does not have the luxury of @GUCCI themes or the technical prowess of @moreMix themes; what it has is my habitual attitude and persistence towards themes.

Throughout the entire year of 2010, there were countless replica OS 6 themes, and even foreign $6.99 themes had some imperfections in details that I could not tolerate. This might be the original intention behind creating Prequel, which was simply due to my own compulsive tendencies. To be honest, when I first started making this theme, I didn't plan to release it. After all, OS 6 would soon be available for certain models (actually, the leaked version for 9700 had already appeared, and I managed to catch up...), so a highly replicated OS 6 theme seemed redundant, losing its meaning and necessity. But upon reflection, only a few models can run OS 6. So, let's consider Prequel as something prepared for models that cannot run OS 6. I dare not say that every product by Marsie is a masterpiece, but I believe BBers who are accustomed to using built-in themes and Passion will like Prequel.

The Prequel theme supports eight OS 5.0 models: 9700/9650/9630/9000/9100/8520/8900/9520. Since ThemeBuilder has not been updated yet, it temporarily does not support the creation of themes for the 9300 model. In addition, due to software limitations, the call interface for the 9000 and 8900 models cannot be freely arranged like other models, so there is a little regret.

In terms of shortcut keys, here are the settings for full keyboard models:

Also worth mentioning is the shortcut key setting for Pearl 9100. (Due to different key position settings on the device itself, after installing this theme, not all shortcut keys apply to Pearl 9105.) RIM did not set desktop shortcut keys for SureType model built-in themes, so I personally assigned shortcut keys to almost every button according to my habits.

Next, we'll present this Prequel theme through Bold 9700, Storm 9520, and Pearl 9100, starting with its performance in landscape mode at 480x360 resolution.

The overall layout and detail perfection of the theme have a high imitation coefficient, almost noticing every icon and position. In addition to program icons, adjustments have also been made to battery icons, date positions, etc., and even a pseudo "global search" has been placed on the right side. The program switching interface has also been adjusted, but due to the insufficient functionality of the theme-making software, it is impossible to achieve a 1:1 real imitation. The scenario mode has been arranged on the left, and the small icons have been corrected one by one. Meanwhile, the bottom has retracted. There is no doubt that the full-icon interface uses a set of icons from OS 6.0. The icons in the multimedia folder and application folder have also been corrected in sequence. Brick Breaker has also been upgraded to OS 6.0. What surprised me is that even the icons in the message interface have been imitated, showing a lot of effort. Every button has been optimized and mimicked meticulously. The call interface, you understand, I won't elaborate much. The lock keyboard interface. Below is the situation for the Storm series, i.e., the 360x480 portrait screen effect. Background program switching. Full-icon interface. Call interface. Lock screen interface. Let's also take a look at the performance on the nearly square screen resolution of Pearl 9100. Shrinking. Full-icon interface. Call interface. Lock keyboard.
