HP has created a custom interface for its Ubuntu netbooks, called the HP Mini 1000 Mi Edition. This interface is based on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, and all familiar Ubuntu programs can be used here. But what makes the Mi Edition stand out is that it doesn't look like an Ubuntu interface at all, it looks a bit like a media center. The interface is simple and easy to use, and beginners can perform basic network operations without having to distinguish between Linux and Windows. Whether it is surfing the web, chatting, or viewing local pictures and videos, everything is easy and completely graphical. HP has also made a media player program called HP Mediastyle, which is equally easy to use. Let's look at the graph.
