JournalSpace wasn't the largest free blogging platform in the world, but its disappearance last week was a devastating blow to its users.
Three days ago, all of JournalSpace's data suddenly disappeared. Yes, all the data, absolutely! The hardware itself is intact, which means the OS X server suffered a major accident, or someone maliciously wiped the hard drive.
The JournalSpace team has the following description on their website:
"One of the members of the Lagomorphics team destroyed some of the main servers a few months ago to vent his frustration after the theft was discovered, and we are not ruling out other acts of sabotage.
But we failed to prevent it. We are deeply sorry."
Six years of blogging disappeared!
