The multi-person, multi-point interactive touch screens seen in science fiction films have become a luxury toy of reality. NYU has developed a touch screen capable of multi-point input; it doesn't matter if you use all ten fingers or operate the content on the screen with your friends. This technology shows significant advantages on touch walls or tablet computers.

They plan to research further on how to provide more interactive elements in the next step, such as identifying which finger of which person is operating. In short, this is a very interesting and science fiction-like project.
