From Android smartphones, Android tablets, even Android laptops, now there is an Android all-in-one PC. HP announced the HP Slate 21 all-in-one Android tablet at a press conference in Beijing. The display is 21.5 inches with a resolution of 1920x1080, equipped with Nvidia Tegra 4 SoC and runs on the Android 4.2.2 operating system. Other configurations include HD cameras, integrated speakers, and Wireless Direct wireless printing technology.
The starting price of the Slate 21 is $399, and it will be available in September. It comes with 8GB of internal storage, supports SD card expansion and connection to external hard drives via USB 2.0. It is currently HP's most affordable all-in-one PC, which can be used as both a desktop and a tablet. HP believes that it is very attractive as an entry-level device. Has the era of Linux desktops finally arrived?
