Sony demonstrates the world's first hand-crank powered digital camera.

Sina Technology News, December 14th, according to foreign media reports, Sony displayed the world's first battery-free, hand-cranked digital camera on Thursday. This digital camera named "Twirl N' Take" has an appearance resembling a food slicer and is equipped with a wheel. Users can generate enough power to take one photo by turning the wheel for about 15 seconds.

The "Twirl N' Take" uses a lens similar to that of a mobile phone camera, which is connected to the wheel. The wheel is equipped with a power-generating device. Sony stated that this hand-cranked digital camera will be very appealing to children, but it will not be launched in the market in the near future. It is reported that the "Twirl N' Take" does not have a display screen. After taking photos, users must use a computer to view the captured images. Recently, Sony launched a series of concept products called "odo," aiming to raise consumers' environmental awareness.
