New method of Hard Drive data recovery: Stew it!

If your hard drive dies and you're really bold (or really stupid), you might do the same thing as this guy. The man from Mandible Games recently found out that his hard drive was going to die, so he did the following shocking thing.

The author found that his hard drive was still spinning, but it was not recognized in the BIOS, and he kept hearing a "clicking" noise. He judged that this is the problem caused by the magnetic head hanging the disk, so he began to play his own subjective initiative.

It occurred to him that if he could remove the magnetic head, he might be able to solve the problem. Then I thought of the principle of thermal expansion and cold contraction, if the hard disk is heated and expanded, the magnetic head may be loosened during the deformation process. And so, his plan of battle for repair has been decided: Stew it!

And believe it or not, after all this dude has done, this Seagate hard drive is really back in the spring. It is still working on the author's PC.

The truth of this story is difficult to verify, and I do not recommend that anyone use this way to repair hard drives. But if your hard drive is too old to be repaired, there's no harm in trying. (This article does not bear any joint liability for the consequences caused)
